FOOD
Hello all,
We are starting to plan a menu for the retreat and wanted a little feedback from the gang about a few things.
1. Breakfast: since we will all definitely NOT be up at the same time, we are thinking that breakfast might be better left to the individual families to serve themselves (and clean up after themselves). We can purchase cereal, oatmeal, bagels, etc. to have on hand. We were thinking about doing a big breakfast later in the morning at least one morning in place of lunch. I guess you could call it brunch. Thoughts?
2. Your personal specialty: If you have a favorite recipe that you'd like to share with the group, please let us know so we can try to include it.
3. Dislikes/Food allergies: Please be sure to include this information on Robyn's questionnaire. Thanks!
That is all for now. There will be more...

Communications Committee Questionaire
Teri, Jenny & I have decided to do a questionaire for all of the family members. We're going to create a googledoc for each person the go into and input their answers. (Don't worry, we'll include instructions for those who haven't done it before.) We've already thought up questions for the family booklet as well as questions that we wanted to ask for use on the other committies we're part of. We thought it would be nice to get together all of the questions that members of the other committoes might have and combine them. That way we can all access the info on google docs, and it should save some time & effort for information gathering. The questions we have some up with so far are:
Preferred contact method: email vs. cell or home phone
Food allergies/issues/likes/dislikes
Skin allergies and the like
Medical issues (diabeties, etc.)
Favorite candy
Garment preferences for souvienier
Favorite board/card/dice games
TV preferences for children (no TV, no to specific shows, etc)
Favorite flower
Favorite store
Favorite ice cream / dessert
Favorite meals/dishes
What you do to relax?
Favorite movie
Favorite book / kids book for grandma to read at reunion
Secret ambition
Favorite drink
(I know this list isn't pretty, but we'll clean it up before we put it in the googledoc)
Please comment on this post with any questions you would like to have included, and after we have them all together, the communications committee will create the individual googledocs and email each person with the link.
Thanks,
Robyn

Hilliger Family Contact Database
The Contact Database is now available for viewing on Google Docs!
I sent everyone an email with a link so that you can see it. Feel free to print the contact list or save the email with the link in it and you can click on it anytime you want to view! You can also make changes if you see if something is wrong. Thanks to everyone for giving me the info!! :)
PS- There are a few turds who shan't remain nameless who did not give me the correct email address. Either that or I'm the turd who didn't write it down properly. Whatever the case, I am going to write your names in the comment section of this post so that hopefully your diligent nuclear family relatives will contact you asking you to contact me so that I can correct your email address. OR....your computer savvy nuclear family relatives could just correct it for me right in the google doc! Either way will work!

Buckskin layout
I called JoAnn to inquire about the floorplan - if we could see one or something, and of course they don't have one available... Anyway, she described how the cabin is laid out and I'll do my best to describe it for all of you!
There is a large room in the middle of each of the three levels. On the lowest level there would be the media room. On one side of the media room there would be two bedrooms with a king bed in each. The other side would have the two bedrooms with (2)queen bunkbeds in each. There are two queen sleeper sofas on the lower level as well. The middle floor has the dining room that seats 44 and the double kitchen. Two bedrooms on either end would have king beds.
The upper floor has the game room and living room with the fireplace. There will be two sleeper sofas in the LR and two bedrooms on either end with king beds. Each bedroom has it's own bath. There are three half baths and I bet one would be on each of the levels. I hope that helps. We could have someone go check it out. They should just call ahead to make sure that it's not being used.
800-808-3903. This is going to be great!

Surprise! We have a winner!!
Upon further review for the dates of the Sunny Brook Farm property, we had some conflicts among the family members who couldn't be there on Sunny Brook's available dates. Since none of the dates available for Sunny Brook were jiving Aunt Lori, Aunt Barb, Uncle Al, and Aunt Carol made an executive decision to book the Buckskin (luxurious) Lodge for our reunion on the weekend of October 16-18. I repeat:
THE HILLIGER FAMILY REUNION WILL TAKE PLACE AT BUCKSKIN LODGE ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY NIGHTS
