  1. I am getting tired to looking at properties. But I can see why this new one was brought up. It would definitely be the least expensive and it looks like it would be ok. What do the rest of you think?

  2. I know... I'm sorry. I just want to find a place that could make everyone happy. I know that Aunt Lori is concerned about having pets around all of the little ones, but that might not be an issue in a place as large as this. As I see it this place has it's good & bad points.

    Good:
-Very inexpensive ($800/nt + tax - no cleaning fee, etc.)
-Owned/Run by a couple on-site, so real service (I've talked to the Owner/Wife and she is a real sweety)
    -Pets/Alcohol OK
-There is a wide varity of bedding in the place, so everyone could be comfortable (rooms w/ 2 twins, 1 queen, 1 queen & 1 twin, 2 doubles, etc - you know what I mean)
-Bedrooms are not all in one area, so there would be some nice seperation for kids & pets
    -Hot tub
-Stocked fishing pond, baseball diamond, volleyball, horseshoes, croquet and a playground for the kids
    -fenced area for doggies
-It looks (to me) like a place that Grandma would like the feel of more
-30 miles from Uncle Al & Aunt Carols's

    Bad
    -Not as luxurious
    -No pool table, foos, etc
-Central meeting room (talent show room) doesn't have comfy seating like the one Karen found
-There isn't a bathroom for each bedroom like the one Karen found, so people would have to share.
    -only one hot tub

There is more, but you get the idea...

  3. I like this one a lot for many reasons.
    1-The price is right
2-The number of bedrooms is great...some little kiddos could even have their own room!
3-I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the grounds. We don't have big, outdoor lawns to play on in FL and I'm sure that my kids and their cuzzes would have a blast outside, even if it was chilly.
4-The fully stocked fishing pond rocks.
    5-They allow pets.
6-It looks like there's a place for us to all sit down and eat.
    7-There's a piano.
8-There's not a TV in every room so that people would have no choice but to get out and talk to each other.

The only things I can see wrong with it are:
1-It could be a MAJOR disaster for our 1 and 2 year olds as far as baby-proofing and safety with all the little knick-knacks they have around.
2-Obviously it's not very modern and it could be a lot more of a dive than it appears to be in the pictures.

    In conclusion,
If other people like this one it might be worth it for Uncle Al and Aunt Carol to go take a look in person and give us the low-down.

  7. Uncle Al here, I called and left a message earlier this evening (around 8:15 PM) to inquire about viewing this location. I'll let everyone know what happens. If we are able to view it we'll ask if we can take pictures. Let us know if any of you have specific questions or things you want us to look for.
    Later.
