Appointment to see Sunnybrook Farm

Hi all,

Aunt Carol and I are going to see Sunnybrook farm on Monday June 1st @ 3:00. We are not able to go this weekend, as they currently have guests. We will take pictures if it's ok with Wilma. Again, if anyone has specific questions that you want us to ask her, please get them to us before noon on Monday. Aunt Carol has a 1:15 Dr appt, and we are going directly to Sunnybrook from the Dr's office.

    A few questions came to mind (I'm sure more will pop up...)

    1) Is there enough comfortable indoor gathering space for a bunch of people to sit around and visit?

    2) From the floor plan it looks like nine bedrooms share two baths. And eight bedrooms in the other wing share two baths. Is that right? Will there be enough hot water for showers?

    3) The furnishings look a little worn in the pictures. How are the beds? Are they comfortable?

    4) What exact weekends is this available?

    5) It looks like the seating in the big meeting room is limited to tables and straight-back chairs. Is that right?

    6) Looks like the wing with the nine bedrooms is on the first floor under the big meeting room. Would people in those rooms hear noise from above? Is it fresh smelling in the rooms?

    7) Do the kitchen facilities look adequate to prepare and serve meals for such a large group? I only saw one stove in the main kitchen. Does the "catering" kitchen have a stove?

    Uncle Al & Aunt Carol Questions so far / Things to look at (and take pictures if possible):

    • Boats? Do you have any? Can we bring in any rentals, Row, Paddleboat, etc.)

    • Fishing License, can fish be eaten? BYO equipment?

    • Playground

    • If we don’t use a room, should we keep it closed / locked? (It will save them work.)

    • Can we use laundry? if so, $ cost, how many machines?

    • Should we bring extra toilet tissue, paper towels, dish soap dishwashing det., pump soap, etc.?

    • Grills? Cooking outside?

    • check out Kitchens (original & catering)

    • Size hot water (showers)

    • Cancel Policy ($ for deposit)

    • Do you decorate for fall?

    • Dogs?
